VR Games In Your Browser, Free

Virtual Reality is a relative newcomer in the gaming space, and on the web it's barely even got a foot in the door. We're here to tell you about the top 3 free virtual reality games you can play online, directly from your browser.

These games are all, as we said, free, and can be played right in your virtual reality headset's internet browser. Put your virtual reality headset on, navigate to our website, click the game, and enjoy -- no strings attached.

Without further ado, let's dive in to our Top 3 Free Online Virtual Reality games and experiences!

Campfire VR

Gaming, at least for me, is a way to get my mind off of things. Killing robots in Robo Recall, or head crabs in Half Life Alyx are both fantastic, but sometimes I need to slow down and just relax.

Virtual reality affords us the opportunity to go to new places, so why not a relaxing campire to medidate in VR? If that appeals to you, this Virtual Reality meditation game is exactly what you've been looking for after a long day.

While this may not be an everyday favorite for me, some days this DEFINITELY is my favorite VR game, and all days it's a nice break from the commotion. While the visuals are delightful, this is definitely a game where you can just close your eyes and listen.

It'll take you to, unsurprisingly, a campfire in the middle of the woods, and having been outside once or twice, I can say with certainty that this is a really faithful represenation of what hanging out by a campfire is like, without the dreaded smoke. Hop in and spend as much time as you'd like enjoying the great (indoor) outdoors.

5 Minute Workout VR

A 180 from the last game, but not necessarily a contrast, sometimes you need to sweat to clear your head, and this 5 minute workout game in VR is the perfect way to do it. Your dalmation acts as moral support as you do push ups, crunches, planks, and more push ups.

If the virtual reality dog doesn't convince you, the convenient counter may push you over the edge. We love this game for it's ability to keep us motivated, while keeping it light and fun.

Our favorite part of this game is it's more or less self paced. I think with body weight workouts, which ended up becoming very mainstream around March 2020 *cough cough* pandemic (no pun intended), this is a nice way to make working out a little less mundane. I mean, what better way to work out at home, than to work out in someone else's virtual home.

Of course, it doesn't take long to realize why this is actually our favorite game. The dalmation sitting on the bed passing judgement at every rep is really the icing! If you're looking for that extra kick in the butt to get moving, give this a shot, or at least hop in to give Spot some love!

Bowman VR

You didn't think we'd gone soft on you, did you? Bowman VR is an homage to the classic flash and html5 game called Bowman. This virtual reality bow and arrow game puts you head to head with an archer, as you duke it out to the end.

The desert wind noise is actually fairly immersive, and if that's not doing it for you, the arrows hurtling toward your face will surely provide some motivation to stay focused!

What's also nice is that it works for lefties and righties alike, and it is a real game, with real mechanics, and a real challenge. There are free VR games and experiences around the web, but a lot of them lack any real engagement - almost acting more like tech demos than games.

We're not promising this is going head to head with Robo Recall, but it is a lot of fun, and for free, you can't really beat it. All in all, it's fun, it's engaging, and it will have you coming back for more as you can practice your aim without suffering an arrow to the knee.
